Biography

Frank Duchêne is an independent mixing engineer and music producer, co-founded Hooverphonic in the mid-90s.

After graduating from Brussels Film School RITS, he worked for VRT, a national radio and TV network.

By '93, he was part of Galaxy Studios, collaborating with luminaries like Joe Zawinul, dEUS, and Tracy Bonham. He contributed to John Elliot Gardiner's Philips Classics projects.


Hooverphonic's two Sony Music albums gained traction. Frank toured with Fiona Apple, Moloko, and Massive Attack before leaving the band in '98.


His musical reach extended to cinema, including 'The Interview', an Oscar-winning short.

His work graced movies like 'Stealing Beauty' and TV shows like CSI Las Vegas.


As a freelancer, Frank creates, records, and mixes music across mediums.

He also educates at PXL-Music University College.
